A FESTIVALGOER who tried to smuggle two packages of MDMA into Creamfields Music Festival has been jailed.
Reiss White was caught carrying around £1,500 worth of the class A drug upon entering the Daresbury festival in 2021.
The 31-year-old appeared before Chester Crown Court on Thursday after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to possessing with intent to supply a class A drug.
White has a previous conviction for two counts of possession with intent to supply the class B drug cannabis.
Sentencing at Chester Crown Court, recorder Eric Lamb referenced the impact of Creamfields offences of this nature on the community.
White, of Tamworth, Staffordshire, was handed a 27 month prison sentence.
The forfeiture and destruction of the drugs was also ordered along with his phone which was seized at the time of the offence.
