SOME of Warrington Wolves’ academy players got the chance to train alongside world-class stars yesterday.
As part of their preparations for the Rugby League World Cup, Papua New Guinea invited players from the club’s Development Academy partnership with Priestley College to their training session at Padgate.
There, they took part in a 13v13 opposed training match with the Kumuls ahead of their opening group-stage clash with Tonga on Tuesday.
It comes after six academy players – Leon Hayes, Adam Holroyd, Josh Lynch, Jack Darbyshire, Aiden Doolan and Sam Marshall – took part in England training earlier in the week.
