A LANDSCAPING company in Penketh has been selected as the winner of an international environmental business award.
The International Green Apple Environment Award has been awarded to EDR Landscape Management Solutions Ltd., beating around 500 other nominees.
The family-run Penketh business will be presented with its award at a ceremony that will be held at the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, in November.
Following winning the award, the company has been invited to become a 'Green World Ambassador,' as well as having its paper published in the Green Book - a best practice manual for environmental works.
Managing director of the business, David Ramsbottom, said: "This is the third time that we have won this prestigious award, and I am so proud that the green credentials of our business are worthy of being recognised on an international stage.
"Especially as our competition are extremely well-known brands, local authorities and other international organisations."
The business was established in 2014, and has moved from strength to strength.
David added: "I am thrilled that such a stringent judging process and the assessment of almost every aspect of our approach to service delivery has led to us achieving this International award.
"I am also extremely proud that site-based assessments have shown the level of service delivery that my staff achieve.
"I know how hard they work every single day and recognise entirely the committeemen that they show, both to our business and our clients."
