A 50-year-old singing club in Warrington is celebrating getting back into the swing of things post-Covid.
Warrington Folk Song Club has announced its lineup of guest singers for the coming weeks.
The club was created in 1968 and has found its home in several venues over its 54-year history, but currently resides in the Bull's Head, on Church Street.
Most of the club's activities are organised by Geoff Bibby.
Geoff said: "The core of our regular singers sing a wide range of material from ancient traditional songs to more recent old songs, music hall, and even dare I say it new-fangled modern stuff!"
The club hosts 'guest nights' with performances from folk musicians, and the club has announced its lineup for the coming year.
Including dates from November 6 this year running through to September 24, 2023, the club is looking forward to its next full year of activities following the national lockdowns throughout the pandemic.
The guest nights are spaced out roughly six weeks apart, with eight dates set out through 2022 and 2023.
Geoff said: "The function room is an excellent venue, and Alison the manager is always welcoming, although, as with many pubs, the Bull's Head is suffering from a general drop in clientele, since habits changed during the Covid pandemic."
Warrington Folk Song Club takes place every Sunday evening at the Bull's Head, on Church Street.
More information can be found on the club's Facebook page.
