A NEW karaoke and cocktail bar has opened just a stone's throw away from Warrington.
Alibi is nestled on Altrincham's high street - and if it being in Altrincham puts you off, hold your horses.
Four of us went to try the cocktail/karaoke bar, and at the end of the night - Saturday, October 1 - we got an Uber back to Warrington for £20, so please don't let the travelling put you off.
We showed up at the bar and were ushered downstairs, to the converted basement area.
The basement has been transformed into a karaoke den - complete with neon lighting, a surround sound system, and a giant screen.
But what happens when you need a drink but don't want to leave the karaoke session? Well, Alibi has you covered.
There's a doorbell-style system that will call a member of staff down to the 'karaoke den' so nobody misses out on any of the fun.
Plus, the 'den' has a key fob system, meaning that only you and the staff will be able to enter the area - saving any shy singers from having a stranger tumble into the area by accident.
But Alibi works just as well as a cocktail bar, too.
It isn't a karaoke place that happens to do drinks - the drinks were a highlight, too, which means it just adds to the vibrant nightlife on Altrincham's high street.
The bar is owned by Carl Peters and Richard Littman.
Carl said: "It’s been a long time coming and we know it’s going to be a venue that is loved by locals of all ages.
"We’ve created the ideal space to unwind with friends and have some truly carefree fun after a long week.”
Richard added: "We know the Altrincham nightlife scene well and we are confident that Alibi is going to be a popular spot with those who love to party."
Alibi is open Thursday-Sunday, and can be found on Shaw's Road, Altrincham.
