LABOUR'S candidate for the Warrington South constituency - Cllr Sarah Hall - has alleged that 'the Tories can't be trusted with the economy.'
Cllr Hall made the comments after attending the Labour Party's annual conference, which was held in Liverpool this week.
Absolutely brilliant speech from @Keir_Starmer

It’s exactly what the country needed to hear. Labour is serious about fixing the cost of living crisis and working people are at the heart of our plan. pic.twitter.com/9B6DbWt84I
The party conference was attended by Sir Keir Starmer, the party leader, as well as MPs from the North West, including Angela Rayner and Lisa Nandy - plus the mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.
Cllr Hall said: "Working people continue to live in fear.
"Fear of losing their homes due to spiralling interest rates, food costs going through the roof and people huddled together in their coats and scarves because they just can’t afford to turn the heating on."
Today, the Tories’ shameful priorities could not have been made any clearer.

Support for the wealthiest and more struggle for ordinary people, the engine room of this country.
The chasm between rich and poor continues to grow.
The Tories are a disgrace.
Cllr Hall was selected earlier this year as the Labour Party's candidate to fight for the Warrington South constituency at the next general election - due to take place in 2024.

She added: "The Tories can’t be trusted with the economy, leaving the pound to plummet, giving tax breaks to their wealthy friends, protecting the profits of billionaire energy giants and now the threat of cuts to public services.
"Last week’s ‘mini budget’ made it clear what the Tories' priorities are.
"They support the richest while everyone else is left counting the pennies."
Cllr Hall continued: "The huge divide between the richest and the rest of us is only getting bigger."
