A PUB in Culcheth has been listed on the market - and it's going for significantly less than the average price.
The Pack Horse, on Church Lane, Culcheth, has been put up for lease with an asking price of £60,000.
According to Zoopla, the average price of a property that has sold in the past 12 months on Church Lane is £392,500 - more than six times over the asking price for leasing the pub.
The Pack Horse is being sold on a five-year lease.
This community pub is listed as having 60,000 square feet of space - meaning each square foot of space costs just £1.
The Pack Horse has a history of character - being the oldest pub in Culcheth, dating back to the 1700s - and has even led to the wedding of at least one couple, back in 2021.
Andrew and Rebecca Shaw were one of the first couples to get married in Warrington following the easing of lockdown restrictions during the pandemic, and they met at the Pack Horse in 2013.
The pub is a stone's throw from Culcheth Community Primary School and Culcheth High School.
It's also less than three miles away from train stations at Birchwood and Glazebrook.
With neighbours such as Culcheth Sports Club and Culcheth Eagles Rugby League Club, the pub is in an ideal location.
So, at £60,000, the Pack Horse seems to be a steal - we'll drink to that.
