The atmosphere was buzzing as runners began piling in through the golden gates which marked the start and end point of the marathon.
And with this year seeing more than 500 extra faces than the previous year, it was yet again a huge success.
People lined the streets of Warrington to cheer on the participants as they ran the 5k, 10k and half marathon races.
We were among the crowds of runners and spectators, bringing updates of the event as it unfolded.
