PLANS to revamp Culcheth Community Library are currently under consideration by Warrington Borough Council.
The plans were submitted in July, and a decision is set to be made before the application expires in November.
The council validated the plans and confirmed they were in order last week - which means that the planning committee will discuss the application in due course.
The proposals consist of a proposed infilling of the existing courtyard in order to add an additional room.
They will also see the removal of the existing entrance porch and the installation of a gantry canopy to service the library entrance.
According to the plans available on the council's planning portal, the developments would include an extension of the library and the redevelopment of the front of the building.
The building's front will - should the plans be approved - be revamped, including the installation of a sign that will read 'Culcheth Community Library'.
As well as this, the current entrance will be changed - the door will be removed, and the entrance will form part of the proposed new atrium area.
The application expires on November 11, and if the council's planning committee does not make a decision by then, the application will need to be resubmitted.
If anyone affected by the plans would like to comment on them, you can do so via the council's planning portal.
