PLACES are still available for teenagers who want to achieve an advanced engineering diploma.
People aged 16 or older can enrol for the course that starts at St Aelred's Catholic Technology College, Birley Street, Newton.
The two-year course offers students the chance to work on an extended project, which will be combined with visits to employers.
The new diploma qualification is part of a national programme to widen the choice of courses available for young people, to motivate them and encourage them to continue learning for longer.
For more information, contact the college on 225974.
