WARRINGTON Rylands have confirmed the departure of manager Dave McNabb.

Over the weekend, it was revealed by the Guardian that McNabb was set to leave Gorsey Lane after more than four years and 150 games in charge.

Now, Blues have confirmed his departure along with that of assistant manager Fraser Ablett and the remainder of the coaching staff.

Former Ashton United and Stafford Rangers manager Jody Banim has been appointed caretaker manager for the games ahead, starting with tonight's Northern Premier League Premier Division clash with Hyde United at Gorsey Lane.

Having first took charge as joint-manager with Stuart Wells team in 2018, McNabb led Blues to the North West Counties League First Division South title in his first year in charge.

He then took sole charge and led the team to two further promotions as well as lifting the FA Vase in 2021.

This season, Blues have won three of their opening six league games but McNabb's final game in charge was last weekend's 4-0 FA Cup loss to Hyde.
