SATURDAY, September 10, is World Suicide Prevention Day, and to mark the event one Warrington group is hosting the 'Darkness Into Light' walk.
The walk has two points that participants can get involved at, one in Widnes and one in Warrington - it is being organised by Get Warrington Talking.
The route will begin at the DCBL Stadium in Widnes, and will last a total of eight-and-a-half miles, beginning at 3am on Saturday morning.

If walkers start in Widnes then they will walk the full route, but an accessible route is available to join from 5:30am at the Waterways car park in Warrington - this route will cover the final 1.5 miles of the journey.
All participants will walk the final mile of the route together, when the walk ends at the Halliwell Jones stadium.
The walk will begin at 3am in the dark and will end when dawn breaks on Saturday morning - this is to symbolise the journey that people make from 'Darkness Into Light'.
Peter Astley MBE is the chair of the Warrington Wolves Foundation, which is supporting the walk.
Our 'Darkness into Light' walk is only a few weeks away, but there is still time to register and join us on the 10th September.

Get Warrington Talking said: "The walk provides an opportunity to connect with people, have a conversation, share experiences, support one another, or just be silent and take time to reflect, knowing there is someone walking beside you."
