POLICE officers were called out due to worries about a member of the public this afternoon, Friday.
A police van and two police cars were reported on Alder Root Lane shortly before 4pm.
This was due to concerns being raised in relation to the safety of a man.
Officers searched the vicinity, close to the former Fiddle I’th Bag pub between Burtonwood, Winwick and Vulcan, however they could not find the man in question.
Cheshire Police says that enquiries into the incident continue.
A spokesman for the force said: “At around 3.50pm today, Friday, September 2, police were called to reports concerning the safety of a man on Alder Root Lane, Warrington.
“Officers attended and conducted a search of the area, but there was no trace of the man.
“Enquiries in relation to this incident are underway.”
