RESIDENTS of a retirement village in Birchwood enjoyed rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty last month.
This was part of efforts to revitalise the community's garden, organised by Your Housing Group and grounds maintenance partners, Tivoli.
Tivoli donated £500 of plants to help residents repot and redesign the village's garden space.
One of our @Your_Housing teams took part in a fantastic potting day at Mosslands Extra Care Village in Warrington earlier this month. Read more here: https://t.co/f2qTHtJ8Rp

Mosslands Sheltered and Extracare Scheme is intended to ensure that over-55s can retain their full independence, whilst enjoying communal services in a friendly and secure environment.
The team from Tivoli worked alongside Mosslands' residents who brought along pots, rolled up their sleeves, and put their green fingers to work.
One of the residents, Margaret, said: "The communal areas look lovely.
"I can’t look after the garden myself but I like to come and sit out here and look at the grounds."
Russ Nixon, Social Value Manager from Your Housing Group’s Community Regeneration Team, said: "It has been wonderful to get outside and enjoy the garden with our residents.
"The past couple of years have been difficult for so many, so it has been wonderful to see them outside today and realise our vision of creating more places for people to thrive."
Another resident, Graham, said: "It’s been great and I even got some advice about looking after my hanging baskets."
Neil Simpson, Director of Operations at Tivoli said: "We are immensely proud to support the residents and Your Housing Group with this project.
"The day was a great success, not only in transforming the environment but also as a great example of residents and businesses coming together to create communities they can be proud of.
"It has been a real pleasure, and we look forward to more great days working with Your Housing Group and their residents.”
