THE final confirmation of the closure of Woolston High School was made at a meeting this eveing.
As expected, members of the council's executive rejected complaints from Labour councillors that they had not followed the right processes in making the decision.
The ruling means the school will no longer take year seven pupils and will close for good in 2012.
