WARRINGTON is set to participate in England's largest festival of history and culture next month.
Heritage Open Days are a chance for people to discover hidden places and try new experiences for free across the country, between September 9-18.
There are a number of events taking place across Warrington, and the full list can be viewed here.
But for now, here are our Top Five events across the festival.

This will be a small exhibit at Warrington Museum, celebrating some of the great contributions to science that people of Warrington have made.
Amongst others in focus will be Joseph Priestley, the man who discovered oxygen (and whose name was given to one of the town's colleges).
The exhibit is available throughout the festival.

💡 Did you know: It was originally used to carry rail vehicles up to 18 tons, and was converted for road vehicles in 1940. In 1953 it was modified to carry up to 30 tons?! pic.twitter.com/LV8OUuhsGz
Warrington's transporter bridge is just one of eight left, in the entire world.
Learn what a transporter bridge is, how it was made, and why - giving the opportunity to learn a bit more about 'largely ignored' Warrington architecture.
Available Saturday, September 10, 10am-4pm.
Heritage Day, Padgate Library
Celebrating 50 years of the area's inception, which was part of Warrington New Town Development Corporation's planning process in 1972.
If you have fond memories of the area, this will be well worth the visit.
Saturday, September 10, 10am-2pm.
RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre
With thousands of exhibits detailing the years that the airbase was active, you can learn about the underappreciated role the base played in Britain's war effort.
The heritage centre aims to uphold the memory of the memories the servicemen and women, and activities of the Second World War.
Women in Rugby League exhibition, Golden Square
Warrington Borough Council and the Warrington Wolves Foundation have partnered with Common Sense Initiative and Rugby League Cares to bring this touring exhibition to the town centre.
The exhibit will be part of the festival on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18, but will be in the town centre until Sunday, September 25.
