AN army accountant from Penketh is celebrating completing his full term of service.
Staff Sergeant Paul Dempsey, aged 44 of Walker Avenue, joined the Army as an accountant 22 years ago.
The former Penketh High School pupil said: "There have been many amazing experiences but one of the most memorable was when we recently hosted a big music event in Plymouth that took more than £500,000 in turnover and we were able to dish some £55,000 out to charities."
Staff Sgt Dempsey, who has a five-year-old son, said: "It will be good to apply all the experience I have gained in the forces, such as all the management skills that go with the rank, to new challenges."
