GHOST hunters came out in force for a special ghost hunt at Walton Hall.
The historic hall saw more than 20 eager investigators join TV psychic Ian Lawman and a team from North West Spirit Seekers on February 15 as they tried to connect with the spirits of the hall's past.
The evening included a ghost and history tour, a medium workshop, an equipment demonstration and vigils in the most active parts of the building.
Tricia Danson, events manager, said: "We have conducted many investigations at Walton Hall. Ian Lawman picked up on a woman who is said to have been stabbed on the stairs and heard a woman crying in the upper levels of the hall. Staff have reported hearing this woman as well on many occasions.
"Certainly Lady Daresbury's room and the hall's entrance seemed to be the most active areas of the building with all participants making contact with spirits of the hall's past."
Due to the evening's success, a ghost hunt, which will again feature Ian Lawman, has been arranged for March 14. Tickets are priced at £59. Contact 0151 647 4994.
