FORMER Warrington Wolves favourite Danny Farrar tied the knot with his Appleton fiancee Vicky McGuiness in his Australian homeland.
The pair met while the ex-hooker was playing for the Wolves in the late 1990s and Vicky decided to move down under with him when his playing days were over.
They were married at Wisemans Ferry, on the Hawkesbury River, in New South Wales, on January 26 with 26 of Vicky's family and friends from the UK joining them including mum and dad, Pete and Phylis McGuiness, from Appleton, as well as her grandmother, Jo McGuiness, aged 77.
Mr McGuiness said: "When Danny finished, Vicky came and asked for my credit card number and said she was moving to Australia and that was seven years ago.
"It was a great day."
Danny, aged 39, now works as a logistics manager for an exhibitions company while Vicky, aged 30, works as a manager of a dental practice.
The couple live in Blacktown near to another former Wolves player, Bob Jackson.
Best man at the wedding was one of Danny's friends Steve Stenson, bridesmaids were Jenny McGuiness, Vicky's sister, Katie Cannon, a long standing friend, as well as Danny's daughters, Brooke, aged 11 and Georgia, aged eight.
Groomsman was Peter Cannon.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Fiji.
