A DRIVER has been arrested after failing a drugs swipe outside Creamfields Music Festival.
At around 2.20pm today, Friday, officers stopped a Renault Clio on Chester Road on suspicion of driving without an MOT.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Northwich, subsequently failed a drugs test – testing positive for cannabis.
A quantity of cannabis was also found in the car.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “The man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and possession of class B drugs - he is currently being held in police custody.”
