He had previously pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, affray, threats to kill, aggravated vehicle taking, driving without insurance and driving without a valid licence.

The offences took place in Orford last August and began after Brennan crashed into the back of a car driven by an elderly man at 6am on Capesthorne Road.

Many victims were subjected to Brennan’s offending – including police officers who he threatened to stab.

At a previous court hearing, it was revealed that Brennan had shown genuine remorse and had drafted a letter to apologise to the victims for the fear and anxiety he caused.
