THERE are long queues through south Warrington today, Thursday, as the gates open for this year's Creamfields music festival.
Tens of thousands of music fans will attend the Daresbury festival, many camping, which runs until Sunday.
And queues are being reported on both directions of the A56 Chester Road this morning.
Congestion is back to Higher Walton and the junction with the M56 around the entrance to the site.
There are also long delays through Stockton Heath and neighbouring routes in the south of the town.

The campsite opened at 12pm.
The lineup includes David Guetta, Fatboy Slim and Martin Garrix.
Camelphat and Carl Cox are among the other artists taking to the stage during this summer's festival.
Most of the main acts perform over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
