SOCIAL MEDIA users have been taking part in a trend that claims the best thing you can do in Warrington is to leave.
For whatever reason, users of TikTok (a video-sharing platform) have been suggesting that there are no worthwhile things to do in the town.

Well, respectfully, we disagree.
With brilliant links to Manchester and Liverpool, as well as direct rail routes to London and Glasgow, Warrington is ideally located - plus, there is a magnitude of things on offer.

With the introduction of Warrington's indoor market, the centre of our town has been reinvigorated as a social hub.
Not to mention the varying local highstreets packed with independent bars, pubs and restaurants - from Culcheth to Stockton Heath to Lymm.
Everyone's favourite chains have sites in Warrington, as well as sites you'll only find here - including White Lace Bakery, and La Boom.

Festivals, gigs, and concerts? Warrington has them all. Not to mention being inundated with cinemas, bowling alleys, and more.
There's pretty much something for everyone here - you just need to know where to look.
From regular events spanning music, comedy, and theatre at the Parr Hall, to Creamfields and Neighbourhood Weekender, Warrington has a heck of a lot to offer.

Warrington boasts LiveWire, its own leisure service provider, with hubs across the town ready for anyone to take advantage of - from Orford to Woolston.
Not to mention independent gyms across the town.
Plus, the town is proud of the sheer volume of sports clubs that residents can get stuck in with - from walking football to tag rugby, to netball, and even volleyball.
As well as this, the Rugby League World Cup will be hosted in the town later this year, giving people even more of a chance to throw themselves into the sport with the events building up to the tournament.

Despite being a thriving town community, Warrington has stunning areas of natural beauty.
Risley Moss is a jewel, nestled in the heart of Birchwood, and is much-loved by residents and the local community, for example.
The New Cut Heritage Trail slices directly through the town, from Woolston all the way through Latchford and beyond.
Plus, the River Mersey traverses through the middle of Warrington, giving opportunities to spot river wildlife throughout the town.
Retail
The decorations are going up for the start of our summer fair on Friday! 🤩🎪

We can’t wait for it all to begin. Make sure you come into town to take advantage of the sun and all the activities we have going on!#summer #gswarrington pic.twitter.com/3JXkAfliPo
The Golden Square Shopping Centre, Birchwood Shopping Centre, Culcheth Shopping Centre and Stockton Heath high street are just a few of the incredible retail opportunities that Warrington offers.
Not to mention the Junction Nine and Gemini retail parks that residents descend upon every day.
Plus, Westbrook's IKEA is always a good afternoon out - and it was the Swedish company's very first store in the UK.
So, in short... No.
Leaving is not the best thing you can do in Warrington.
