A MAN who admitted stealing a car from a house in Mobberley has been jailed for nine months.
Taras Kovcuniak, 47, had been entrusted with the care of the house in the village because its owner had a second home in Ireland.
But when the owner returned to Mobberley in February last year he found that his car had gone.
Kovcuniak, of Chepstow Close, Warrington, had taken the vehicle - worth £9,500 - and sold it.
He originally admitted the offence in September last year, but a decision about his punishment has been repeatedly delayed.
He was finally dealt with before a judge at Chester Crown Court last week - a year after the crime.
