LYMM'S Cancer Research UK committee confirmed it has raised £7,500 in the past year.
The figure was announced at the annual general meeting held earlier this month, and has taken the total raised by the committee in the village to more than £250,000.
The meeting was chaired by Clr Bob Barr, chairman of Lymm Parish Council, who thanked the group for the work which he said was "essential for raising awareness of cancer and funds for research".
Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Jean Parkinson on 752066.
