THE detective leading the investigation into the murder of Shafilea Ahmed says they had a number of useful calls following last night's Crimewatch.
Det Supt Geraint Jones said members of the public had come forward following the BBC One show but appealed for more information.
There were six calls on the night of the show.
"Someone has blood on his or her hands" he told presenter Kirsty Young.
Det Supt Jones reiterated his belief that the 17-year-old was killed by someone who knew her and said more than one person must have been involved.
The programme filmed at her former school, Great Sankey High, as well as the spot where her body was found in Cumbria back in February 2004.
Det Supt Jones said he was particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a white van in that area on the night she went missing, September 11 2003.
Anyone with any information should calll 0845 458 0000 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.
