WE can help you claim back your bank charges said the person on the end of the phone.
Where did you get this number from? Was my reply.
The guy had phoned me on my mobile - which is a work phone and I don't give the number out to people - except for colleagues, close friends and, of course, family.
It was just a random selection was his answer.
How? Where do these people find your number from, it beats me?
I told him I wasn't interested which was when he started getting pushy.
"Do you not want to save money then love?"
God I hate that, never spoken to him before and now he's calling me love.
"You know you are entitled to get money back now."
Yes, thanks moron, I do read the newspapers and listen to the news, it's my job!
If I do decide to try to claim my bank charges back I can do it by myself without giving some jumped up salesman a slice of the cash.
There's been plenty of publicity about it and the easy ways in which to claim.
They have even printed standard letters on various websites which you can adapt.
Now of course we've got companies cashing in on it.
I hate those sort of calls. I signed up to the telephone preference service so I could stop getting plagued at home and now people are bothering me on my mobile.
It's intrusive, harassment and bordering on stalking!
So don't call me and I won't call you!
