A SHEEP was rescued from a canal.
Two firefighters, wearing special wet suits, went into the Bridgewater Canal at Red Brow Lane in Daresbury to lead the animal to safety.
The alarm was raised at around 9.30am on Sunday, July 31.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two swift water rescue firefighters went into the canal to retrieve the sheep and bring it back to dry land.
“A bit wet and a little tired, crews then released the sheep back into the field with her fellow flock members.”
