A NEW warehouse development could soon be coming to land at Omega.
Council planners have agreed outline planning approval for development of a pocket of land on Lingley Mere Business Park.
Close to the Royal Mail distribution hub off Omega Boulevard, more detailed plans will now be drawn up to decide what the final development would look like.
Although the warehouse could be up to 70,000 sqft in size and used for light industrial purposes or storage and distribution – like most of the developments in the town.
The maximum height must be between 12 meters and 16.5 metres depending on the location within the site.
The documents state: "It is considered that the outline planning application reflects a robust, viable modern employment scheme, congruent with developments of a similar use, quantum and scale, that will add value to Lingley Mere Business Park on employment allocated land."
