A MOTORBIKE has crashed on a stretch of icy road in Winwick.
The accident happened before 7am and closed Newton Road in both directions at Winwick.
It is believed a burst water pipe caused the ice patch.
While the road has reopened, the closure has caused traffic chaos in the area.
