A 34-YEAR-OLD man has died after he was seriously injured and his dog was killed in a crash with a car on Poplars Avenue in Orford on Friday.
The pedestrian, who has not been named, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Warrington Hospital after the collison at 6.45am.
He was transferred to Walton Neurological Unit and treated in intensive care, where he died this morning.
The man's Alsatian dog was taken to a vet but it died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The car, a silver Volvo, was being driven by a 62-year-old man. He did not suffer any injuries.
