A SERIAL offender who has previously been described as a ‘bloody nuisance’ by his own solicitor has been jailed again – on his birthday.
Gary Woodall is no stranger to the courts or custody, having been sent to prison on a number of occasions over recent years.
The 58-year-old is the subject of a criminal behaviour order – a court order which aims to tackle the most serious and persistent offenders whose behaviour sees them hauled before the courts.
A number of conditions are attached to Woodall’s order, including a ban from Warrington town centre.
It is that condition that the defendant, of no fixed abode, but formerly of Latchford, has breached, resulting in him being returned to prison.
Woodall appeared to be sentenced on Thursday, his birthday, at Chester Magistrates’ Court, after pleading guilty to a charge of breaching his criminal behaviour order.
The court heard how this happened a day earlier on Wednesday, June 20, after he entered Cockhedge Lane.
Magistrates took the defendant’s guilty plea into account, however they remarked that the offences were ‘so serious’ that only a custodial sentence could be justified.
They also said that Woodall has a ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’ before jailing him for 14 weeks.
