A FEAST of colour greeted visitors as the RHS Flower Show opened today at Tatton Park.
This five-day celebration has something for everyone, creating a great day out.
Stunning displays, amazing flowers and imaginative gardens provide plenty of inspiration.
Everything on show is in tip top condition despite the recent searing heatwave.
Dedicated gardeners and designers worked in sweltering temperatures, soaring to 39 degrees on Tuesday, when the UK recorded its hottest ever day.
Yet everyone was determined that only the best would do.
Judges were overwhelmed by the high standards and an array of cherished medals have been awarded.
A refreshing breeze and gentle sunshine made it much more comfortable for visitors on Wednesday.
Crowds rambled round, wheeling boxes crammed with precious plants and flowers to take home.
Encouraging everyone to become more eco-friendly is the big message from this year’s show.
Excited schoolchildren from schools across Cheshire were proud to show off their allotments.
Plenty of simple sustainable ideas are demonstrated in an array of gardens.
Some of the country’s top growers are on hand to share their advice and knowledge.
Other highlights include workshops, talks, floristry and cookery demonstrations and boutique shopping.
