STEFAN Ratchford has become the latest player to pen a new deal with Warrington Wolves.
Following on from young teammates Josh Thewlis and Connor Wrench last week, the versatile veteran has penned a new two-year deal at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Ratchford, who is currently in his Testimonial year with The Wire, was in the final year of his contract but will now remain at the club until the end of 2024.
That would take him to 13 seasons as a Warrington player having joined from Salford Red Devils back in 2012.
“I’m over the moon to be staying with the club,” the 33-year-old said.
“My time here so far has absolutely flown by – to have been here for 11 seasons and going on to be 13 now is quite surreal.
“The fans have been fantastic with me. As a Wigan lad, and joining from Salford too, when I first came I was unsure about how I’d be welcomed but now it’s almost like I’m a Warringtonian in some ways!
“It’s been amazing and the fans have been great. We’ve had some success along the way but even in difficult times they’ve always stuck by us.
“Hopefully now we’re going to put things right for the final part of the season and we’re striving to achieve success going forward.”
Ratchford currently sits seventh on the club’s all-time point scorers list, with 1,256 to date.

Since joining Wolves, he has made 291 appearances and touched down for 83 tries in that time. He is also just two goals away from 500 in his career.
“Stef’s a great player and person, who’s dyed in the wool here at Warrington,” head coach Daryl Powell said.
“I’m delighted he’s chosen to stay. He’s a high-quality player who can play in a number of key positions.
“His experience and knowledge for the younger players around him is valuable too and makes him a great guy to keep on board.”
