WARRINGTON Wolves and the YMCA clubbed together to fund two important projects.
The two groups held a Christmas dinner at the Fir Grove Hotel in Grappenhall for 100 people.
On the evening, two live bands gave up their time to play while Steve Lewis from Radio Worm compered.
Wolves players Jon Clarke, Kev Penny, Chris Riley and Steve Pickersgill were also on hand.
The top auction prize was three nights at a four-star hotel in Italy.
A total of £5,000 was raised which was divided between the YMCA's Homeless Project and the Primary Link Connected Scheme, which ensures children of Warrington are involved with sport and physical activity.
Event organiser Natalie Hargreaves said: "We are very grateful to everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets and donated prizes. We would also like to thank everyone who supported the charities in 2007."
