THE stage was set for an evening of glitz and glamour when 180 people attended the Broadway Ball at Daresbury Park Hotel.
Representatives from arts societies, the business community, disability groups and general public were present on the show business-themed night to promote Theatre for Warrington.
Event coordinator Peter Gilberts said: "The evening was a tremendous success and fundraising exercise to create a springboard into 2008's campaign for the establishment of a bespoke theatre within the town centre."
Entertainment was provided by DJ John Mayo and auctioneer and MC Phil Heimes.
Linda Dirir, chairman for Theatre for Warrington, added: "The funds raised will help towards our immediate aim of becoming a registered charity and our ultimate aim of achieving a theate for Warrington."
