The Guardian understands The Wire are not planning to replace Magoulias in the short-term, with no mid-season recruitment planned as it stands.
Magoulias only joined The Wire from NRL side Cronulla Sharks ahead of this season but suffered an ankle injury during pre-season that required surgery, meaning he did not make his Wire debut until the 16-12 Challenge Cup loss to Wakefield Trinity in March.
In total, the 25-year-old made just eight appearances for Daryl Powell’s side, the last of which came during the 40-4 loss to Leeds Rhinos earlier this month.
His contract with the club had been due to expire at the end of this season, but the club held an option in their favour to extend that deal for another 12 months.
