A car fire has closed one lane on the M56 and is causing delays in both directions
A CAR fire has closed the M56 near Manchester Airport.
The vehicle caught fire in the roadworks area on the M56 in both directions and is causing delays and queues.
Delays of 10 minutes and queuing traffic is reported between junction 7 at Chester Road in Bowdon and junction 6 at the Hale Four Seaons roundabout.
Emergency services are at the scene.
