A CHARITY has kicked off the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in style with an afternoon tea for its members.
Warrington Visually Impaired People hosted the event at Fairfield Old School, with a buffet provided by Old Market Place-based Bap Fusion Café plus ice cream courtesy of Matt’s Ices.

The centre was decorated with bunting and in the colours of the Union Jack, with the 34 attendees treated to a live music soundtrack from the golden age of swing.
WVIP celebrates its 100th birthday next year.

Chief executive Fiona Patterson said: “WVIP members have smiled their way through the afternoon whilst chatting to their friends and singing along.”
