A POPULAR Thelwall pub has won the North Cheshire CAMRA Pub of the Year award.
Little Manor, based on Bell Lane, has received the award for 2022.
“It’s out of 170 real ale pubs and for us, it’s a massive award,” said Jill Dowling, manager of Little Manor.
“It’s not just about your ale, it’s about other aspects of your pub such as ambience, service, how we look after our beers and a lot of other things so that’s really nice.”
Jill – who has run the pub for nine years – pinpoints the quality of her staff and those that order the beers as reasons for the pub standing out from the rest.
She continued: “I’ve got a good team who are very good at looking after the beer.
“They always get a good selection of real ales which caters for everyone’s needs and tastes.
“As much as we can, we use local breweries. We look after the beer well and we have a good relationship with the breweries.”
