MORE THAN 300 teachers from settings across the UK attended a Warrington academy for a leading education event.

King’s Leadership Academy Warrington was selected to host the researchED event – which often take place around the world.

Being selected to host is recognition of the academy’s reputation for ‘defining and setting standards of excellent’.

Leading academics and educationalists spoke at the prestigious full day of 40 sessions.

They addressed topical issues affecting multi-academy trusts, schools, teachers and pupils.

Demand to attend the event saw it sell-out - so many of the sessions were also made available online and a further 100 people took the opportunity to attend virtually.

The day was arranged by Mike Chiles and Sarah Vernon who are both senior teachers at King’s Leadership Academy Warrington.

Mike said: “researchED events present the very best thinking and approaches in education which is why the event became a sell-out with people travelling from all over the UK.

“The ability to put many sessions online meant we could allow over 400 to attend either in person or virtually.

“As such a prestigious event being asked to host an event is recognition of our achievements in academic standards here at King’s Warrington as well as within the Great Schools Trust.”
