PLANS to demolish a former riding school in Burtonwood have been revealed.
The owners of The Shippon, on Tan House Lane and Farmers Lane, have registered planning proposals to demolish the building.
The Shippon was the home of the Village Riding School from 2014, when the school was established by mother and daughter team Sue and Laura Forber.
A planning application was registered with Warrington Borough Council on April 4 this year.
The application requests permission to demolish the current buildings, to be replaced with a detached house, and this involves the formal closure of the riding school.
As it stands, The Shippon is valued as the most expensive property in its postcode, at around £600,000, according to The Move Market.
The riding school was opened in 2014 by Warrington Wolves legend Lee Briers, alongside St Helens hooker James Roby.
The latest application is resubmission of an application that was originally submitted in December 2020.
That application received objections from the owners of neighbouring land on account of misuse of parking areas.
