With Easter less than a week away, you might be wondering how you can keep yourself and your family busy near Warrington this April.

Easter egg hunts

This Easter you can take your family to National Trust sites to search for Easter eggs.

Dunham Massey, which is a short drive away from the town, has a trail which takes place until April 24, from 10am - 4pm each day and includes a trail map, pencil and edible chocolate treat.

It costs £3 per child for the trail and booking is not required.

If you wanted an alternative to Dunham Massey then you would need to travel to Little Moreton Hill, Quarry Bank, Hare Hill in Cheshire, Rufford Old Hall in Lancashire or Speke Hall near Liverpool airport

If the idea of a family walk sounds like the best way to celebrate Easter, look no further.

National Trust sites such as the previously mentioned Dunham Massey, Little Moreton Hill, Quarry Bank and Hare Hill, all have numerous trails to show off the best of their sites for nature and wildlife.

If you opt for a day indoors, there’s still fun to be had with the National Trust’s craft tutorials.
