IN case you haven’t heard, a new American burger chain has rolled into town.
And we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sample the food they had to offer, bringing the authentic taste of the United States of America to Warrington.
MrBeast Burger has become an international sensation on YouTube in the space of just over a year, now boasting 1,000 outlets worldwide.
It is now expanding across the UK and has opened a kitchen in the town at the Village Hotel on Centre Park.
Among the chain’s speciality items which we got our chops around was the ‘Beast Style’ burger – two beef burgers with house seasoning, sharp American cheese, pickles, diced white onion, mayo, ketchup, and brown mustard on a soft roll.
Sound good? We are glad to report that it tasted good too, but before we move onto the food, here is how you can try the many items on the menu.
All MrBeast Burger branches offer delivery and collection only. Orders can be placed via Deliveroo and Uber Eats, as well as on MrBeast Burger’s website.
We ordered through Uber Eats, skimping on the delivery and opting to collect instead.
Despite being told we could pick up out order at 1.35pm at the Village Hotel, we were told we should wait and someone would bring it out to us.
They never did, and after asking a member of staff again, we were finally handed our order 20 minutes later.
There were no signs directing us where to go upon entering the hotel, but as the chain is new, they may be erected in due course.
As previously mentioned, we ordered the Beast Style burger. The burgers themselves were cooked well – not overcooked but not undercooked either.
The cheese was the highlight, offering a sweet taste and mouth-watering texture, complimented well by the mustard and tangy pickles.
As well as this, we ordered a Nashville Hot Chicken Tender Sandwich, which came with mayo, ketchup, shredded lettuce and pickles.
As someone with a liking for spice, but not too much, we were slightly underwhelmed with the heat of the burger, but we could not knock the taste.
To complete our order, we chose portions of Seasoned Crinkle Fries – chips seasoned with spicy red pepper, garlic, paprika, sugar and a hint of lime, and Beast Style Fries.
The latter was made up of Seasoned Crinkle Fries loaded with caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles, mayo, ketchup, mustard and bacon.
Again, the sides were winners, complimenting the burgers and ensuring we were left full to bursting afterwards.
Our four food items, which we ordered without drinks or cookies for dessert cost us £23.22.
The big question, was it worth the money? Probably not, especially bearing in mind the cost of living as it is.
Does MrBeast Burger offer something extra special, more than other big-name fast food chains such as McDonalds or Burger King? Again, probably not.
Are we glad we tried it? Definitely, and we wish the chain every success in Warrington.
