EIGHT sheep, lambs and a ram have been killed in a savage dog attack.
Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team say the incident happened near Pool Lane in Lymm on March 30.
It is suspected that the dog owners were a man and women in their late 50s, with a black Labrador style breed dog, as the police say the incident was witnessed by several people.
PC Jim Clark, from the rural crime team, said: ”This attack has resulted in the death of eight sheep of which some were several young lambs and a very expensive ram.
“Once again occurring due to inability for a person to ensure their dog was under control.
“If you need me to reiterate the importance of keeping your dog under control and this reads as a revelation, then perhaps you need to reconsider your suitability to own or have a dog in your control.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or on their website quoting IML 1237140.
