A DRINK driver who was nearly five times over the legal limit when he got behind the wheel has been jailed.
Bartosz Zatorski, of Wilderspool Causeway, was locked up for eight months at Warrington Magistrates Court on Friday, March 11.
The 35-year-old had was found to have 161 micrograms of alcohol in his system per 100ml breath after his Ford Focus was stopped by police on Sandy Lane West in Orford two days earlier.
He also had no licence or insurance, while his actions put him in breach of a four-month imprisonment suspended for a year which was handed down by the same court in July 2021 for possession of a bladed article in a public place.
This came after he was caught carrying a knife on Bridge Foot during an incident the previous month.
Zatorski was also told to serve 100 hours of community service on that occasion.
He admitted drink driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, obstructing police and breaching a suspended sentence order during his latest appearance.
Magistrates also banned him from the roads for 40 months and ordered him to pay a £156 victim surcharge, while the defendant’s driving record will be endorsed.
