RESIDENTS have been asking how they can continue to support Ukrainian people from afar given the current war through donation points across Warrington.
So, we have put together an updated list of when and where residents can provide donations in town.
The Crown, Lymm
The pub in Booth’s Hill Road is welcoming donations in the beer garden.
Two of their customers will be driving to Poland with a van full of supplies.
Donations of toiletries, sanitary products, blankets and some clothing are encouraged and can be made until Thursday at 9pm.
Bamboo Hair and Beauty, Woolston
The salon in Dam Lane is collecting items to be sent over for Ukrainians.
Donations of money, Calpol, toiletries, baby items and pet items are all welcome.
A spokesperson wrote on Facebook: "If you could please help us we would be super grateful. Thanks so much for all of the donations received by clients so far.”
Lymm High School
Lymm High is collecting donations until the end of this week, Friday and have already got several boxes.
Blankets, toys, sanitary products, toiletries, towels, first aid kits, metal cups, sleeping bags and more are encouraged.
Orford Lane Veterinary Surgery
The vets took so social media to explain that they are welcoming donations of clothes, food and pet food which would be ‘truly appreciated’.
A spokesperson wrote on Facebook: “I’m sure all our clients are just as saddened as everyone here at Orford Lane Vets about the awful situation currently occurring in Ukraine.
“We hope you our wonderful clients will stand with us to help and support the Ukrainian people and their pets.”
For those willing to donate £10 towards their fundraising cause, free nail trims for pets will be offered until Friday.
Warrington and Vale Royal College
Until Thursday the college is taking donations.
The Engagement Team will be collecting toiletries, nappies, blankets, towels, children's stationery, small toys, and activity books.
The Cheshire Nail Set, Lymm
The beauty salon is collecting sanitary products to send over to Poland and other surrounding areas to help the women of Ukraine who have had to vacate the country with nothing.
Lymm Rugby Club
The club is hosting two drop off days on March 20 and March 27.
Items such as soft toys, colouring books, toiletries, hygiene and sanitary products, blankets, metal cups clothing, first-aid, power banks, chargers and more are welcome.
Vets4Pets, Junction Nine retail park
The vets hope that customers of the Junction Nine store can help too.
A spokesperson wrote on Facebook: "We are calling upon all our amazing clients to ask if they can spare any light items that we can send to help those in need?
"We are asking for the following items - dog/cat leads and collars, lightweight bowls, cat/dog jumpers and lightweight blankets."
