TWO disgruntled former employees who broke into a kebab shop and stole cash in a revenge burglary have been jailed.
A total of £300 in cash was taken from the Latchford Kebab House, at the Bridge Shopping Centre, during the incident in October last year.
Appearing before Warrington Magistrates Court on Monday, February 28, Nedzhmi Chakalov and Ivelin Penev – both of Rushden in Northamptonshire – admitted burglary in connection with the break-in.
Magistrates heard that the pair, aged 47 and 24 respectively, had targeted the takeaway in a ‘revenge attack’ against their previous employer.
Both defendants were jailed for four weeks and told to pay £150 each in compensation.
Chakalov and Penev are expected to be deported from the UK as a result of their convictions.
