MANY residents across Warrington are in a situation where they want to donate items and provide support to Ukraine in the current war but they don’t know how to get involved.

So, we thought we would run through some of the places across town that are acting as collection points for donations.

The Feathers, Bridge Street

The pub welcomes donations and they will organise them to be sent to Ukraine’s borders.

General manager Brodie Savage said: "We've got 50 or 60 boxes of donations.

"We have seen everything that has been going on and lots of people have wanted to help.

"The least we can do is offer to take it in.

They are accepting donations of; children's toys and colouring books, children's clothes, thermal clothing, sanitary products, nappies, first aid supplies, sleeping bags and toiletries.

SMR Motorsport, Burtonwood Industrial Estate

The garage on Burtonwood Industrial Estate has been a hub of donations across the Polish community in Warrington.

They will not be collecting more clothes and instead ask for the likes of toiletries, blankets, toys and everyday essentials.

The Little Children’s Market event, Bridgewater High School

Free entry can be obtained to the event on Sunday between 10am and 11.30 by donating items such as toiletries, clothing for children and adults and more.

On Facebook, they asked that items are fit for purpose and in good condition before donating.
