THIS is the first look at Costello’s in Time Square.

The bar, which is opening tomorrow, Friday, has been under construction since July.

Despite the Costello family initially wanting to open the bar in November, that was delayed by coronavirus and materials, but it is now finished and ready to welcome the public.

There is a raised section of the bar housing booths and seating to the left, and to the right, more booths can be found.

As you move further into the bar, it remains just as cosy with a fire and further seating.

At the bar, you can find the lager staples and of course, the Costello-family brewed beer from Lymm and Dunham including the likes of Lymm Bitter and Bridgewater Blonde.

Designer Anthony Costello, based in Whittle Hall, said: “I spent quite a bit of time going around places in Manchester and Liverpool getting a feel for what is popular at the moment and what looked good.

“We pulled different ideas together from what we liked the look of and created an explosion of everything and put it into this.”

The 36-year-old continued: “I was trying to go for a warm and industrial look. The unit calls for an industrial vibe with it being high but at the same time a lot of industrial places can feel cold.

“With real ale you want it to be warmer hence we put the fire in and the warm furniture. We have tried to blend the two things together which I think we have just about managed to do.

“I’m very much looking forward to people coming in and enjoying it”
